Building plan checks

A good building plan ensures that the construction proceeds as seamlessly as possible and corrections may be made early on.

Therefore, we recommend detailed sequence planning and a running check on this. Delays to deadlines also, as a rule, lead to cost overruns. In order to be able to oversee the meshing of the individual works, it is necessary to carry out sequence planning. In the form of a girder or network plan, the time interdependencies of the works with their preparation, implementation and drying times, will be acknowledged and can be better aligned. You can then know in advance where it might be a "tight squeeze" and which work phases will demand particular attention, in order to avoid, for example, waiting times and delays.

More than 20% of construction damage claims are already latent at the paper stage. For the best quality from the construction project, the implementation plans must therefore be proof-read by someone else. In this way, construction errors can already be identified and avoided at the planning stage.

The following points must be checked in particular during the construction plan check:

• land drainage, above all on slopes and when near groundwater level
  
• water-tightness of the building envelope, above all for cellars
  
• flat roofs and terraces with consideration to drainage, emergency overflows, roof pitches
  
• facade construction with consideration to junctions and transitions, ground connections, workmanship
  
• wet rooms with consideration to seals and slab coverings
